Individual Clinicians
Substance Use Within Ordinary Psychotherapy
Clinical Tools for Working Openly, Ethically, and Effectively
Most clinicians encounter substance use and compulsive behaviors regularly—but were never trained to work with them directly. As a result, many feel uncertain, avoidant, or overly cautious when these issues arise, even though they are already present in a large portion of their caseload.
This course addresses that gap directly. It offers a flexible, evidence-aligned approach that helps clinicians keep clients talking about the behaviors they are most ashamed of—so real therapeutic work can happen, even when risk and ambivalence are present.
